Falcons vs. Saints predictions, picks, and best bets for NFL Week 10

The Falcons look to take care of business as they go on the road, but the New Orleans Saints hope to play spoiler to their division rival in this Week 10 NFC South showdown.

Currently, sportsbooks favor the Falcons. Atlanta is listed as a 3.5-point favorite. while the over/under sits at 46.5.

Falcons vs. Saints predictions and best bets
  • Alvin Kamara Over 69.5 rushing yards: -113 at FanDuel
  • Bijan Robinson Over 26.5 receiving yards: -110 at bet365
  • Younghoe Koo Over 1.5 field goals made: -155 at DraftKings
  • On paper, a 3.5-point spread for a surging Atlanta team seems easy, but I would heed caution as interim coaches tend to find success early with their new team.

Because of that, I'm choosing to stick to player props, and the focus is on the backfield. With Derek Carr healthy, the Saints love to find ways to get Kamara going on the ground. He's hit this line in five of his six games with Carr as the starter, and I had 19 carries against the Falcons in their matchup earlier this season.

For Bijan Robinson, I'm looking at his receiving ability. In his three career games against the Saints, the young back has 46, 103, and 32 receiving yards. New Orleans crowds the box on Atlanta, so Robinson has yet to find much consistency as a runner. But his receiving upside looks steady against the Saints and should be counted on in Week 10.

Finally, I'm rolling with Younghoe Koo to make over 1.5 field goals. In the Week 4 matchup, Koo was called on to make four field goals. With the Falcons' offensive success and the Saints' grittiness on defense, I will take Koo repeating half of that number here on Sunday.

Falcons vs. Saints moneyline odds analysis Why Falcons could win as the favorite Best odds: -180 at DraftKings

Winners in five of their last six games, Atlanta has been one of the hottest teams in the league as of late. Heading into Sunday, they look to continue that trend against a division rival.

New Orleans is coming off of an embarrassing defeat to the Panthers. And after shipping off Marshon Lattimore at the trade deadline, it appears the team is focused on rebuilding.

Things aren't that simple, though, as the Saints will be ready with a chip on their shoulder at kickoff.

Should Atlanta hope to win, they must keep Alvin Kamara contained. The star back is the lone playmaker on a battered Saints offense, and if they can limit his production, the team lacks scoring upside.

The focus of the Falcons will be to win in the trenches. Due to a constant lack of funds in the offseason, the Saints have struggled to find effective play on the offensive and defensive line. While rookies and low-cost veterans have filled some spots, the depth and dependability have plagued the team for years. Exploiting that could be the key to securing Atlanta's sixth win in seven games.

Why Saints could win as the underdogBest odds: +168 at FanDuel

With an interim boost, the New Orleans Saints have a strong chance of coming into Sunday as the surprise team. Fresh off of a loss to the Carolina Panthers last week, it'd make no sense for them to bounce back with a victory over Atlanta.

Which is why it might happen. This is the NFL, and chaos is constant. And a team with talent on the roster, like New Orleans, is a threat to win every week, but with the sudden boost in motivation with a new head coach, the chances increase.

If the Saints want to accomplish this, the offense must recapture its early-season magic. With Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed out, players like Alvin Kamara, Juwan Johnson, and Taysom Hill will be pressured to step up.

Should the offense find ways to produce, there is a chance. New Orleans routinely plays Atlanta close, including a 26-24 game earlier this year. With some extra motivation at kickoff, it may break in their favor.
