Family of 15-year-old killed on Halloween speaks after recent arrests

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A grieving Mobile family calls it a step in the right direction.

A 17-year-old was arrested in the murder of 15-year-old Karsyn Proctor on Halloween. A 14-year-old was also arrested, and another 14-year-old is being sought .

The victim's grandfather told News 5 he thinks more arrests could be coming.

"I'm waiting on three. That's what the detective told me," Kary Lucas, Pryor's grandfather, said.

Like the rest of the family, he has a lot of questions about who else may have been involved.

"Because I know once you crack that egg, he going to talk if there was anybody else," Kary Lucas, Pryor's grandfather.

Mobile police arrest man on felony warrant out of Baldwin County during traffic stop

Officers found Pryor's body on Arcturus Lane just before 7 on Halloween night when many kids were still trick-or-treating.

"He was a good kid. I'm not just saying that because I'm his grandfather," Lucas said. "He was a good kid. He just brings light."

Pryor played football and basketball, and also ran track at Murphy.

Former U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm, a New York Republican who resigned from Congress following a tax fraud conviction, is paralyzed from the chest down after being thrown from a horse during a polo tournament, according to friends who are raising funds to pay for the ex-lawmaker's medical care. Grimm, 54, suffered the devastating injury in September and is now being treated at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey, where the late actor Christopher Reeve was treated after a similar equestrian accident in 1995, according to Vincent Ignizio, a friend of Grimm's who is a former New York City Council member. "It was a passion of his and he suffered a tragic accident at the end of September," said Ignizio, who has set up a GoFundMe account to pay for Grimm's medical care.
