Fans goes wild over Chris Evans's surprising new transformation

Fans on social media are going wild after Chris Evans looked almost unrecognizable at the premiere of his new movie Red One.

The Captain America star, 43, ditched his usual clean cut looks for darker, shaggy hair and a grown-out beard on the red carpet, as well as a pair of round glasses.

Evans was promoting his upcoming action/adventure movie at Potters Fields Park in London , England on November 6.

On X (previously Twitter ) and Instagram his fans were thirsting over his new aesthetic, which was far from his Marvel superhero days.

The Gifted actor's avid supporters compared him to a 2000s rom-com professor, or Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting, and called him 'so fine' and 'better with age.'

One person tweeted, 'Just Chris Evans looking like a professor from an early 2000s romcom,' along with a picture of the actor at the premiere.

'The hair is the best,' another fan agreed about his new more mature coif.

'Chris Evans just gets better with age. We're not just talking like cheese or wine we're talking like the most exclusive, desired brandy in existence,' a fan wrote.

A supporter declared him the 'Sexiest Man Alive,' a title he won from People Magazine in 2022.

One summed it up by saying: 'This. This is my type.'

After his stylist Ilaria Urbinati shared a photo of Evans wearing Ralph Lauren at the Berlin premiere on Instagram, the comments were much the same.

One woman applauded, 'Seriously nailing the professor look... I might have gone to university if that's what I could have expected.'

'The college professor we deserve,' a fashion fan raved about Evans, who's married to Alba Baptista , 27, and thinking about starting a family with the Portuguese actress.

Some Instagram commenters thought nothing had changed, with one woman responding to the professorial look, 'I feel like Chris Evans has been in his hot era since 1999.'

The Knives Out actor was joined on the red carpet by his co-stars Lucy Liu , Dwayne Johnson , J.K. Simmons, and Mad Men alum Kiernan Shipka .

An IMDB synopsis of the upcoming film reads: 'After Santa Claus (code name: Red One) is kidnapped, the North Pole's Head of Security (Johnson) must team up with the world's most infamous bounty hunter (Evans) in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas .'

Red One will be out in theaters on November 15.
