Fans of one major college football program had to flee Saturday's game due to extreme conditions.

The UCLA Bruins traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to face the LSU Tigers in the return game of the series scheduled in 2014.

With the score tied 17-17 at the break, Tiger Stadium appeared half-empty as LSU fans departed early.

It's not often that fans leave games early for reasons other than a blowout, but Saturday's game proved otherwise.

In a post on X, Bryce Koon of 247 Sports and CBS Sports shared that he was at the game and spoke to some medical professionals on his way up to the press box. He went on to say that a decent amount of fans had a medical emergency due to the scorching heat.

"Talked with some medical professionals on my way up to the press box, and they said the number of people who have been taken to the 'medical room' is north of 70," Koon wrote.

Fans at the top of the stadium appeared to feel it the most.

Around kickoff time, temperatures were around 92°F, but it felt closer to 100°F. It was recorded as one of the hottest games in Tiger Stadium history.

"Left at halftime. Saw them taking someone out on that lil ambulance," one fan said.

"I was literally on the verge of passing out," another added. "How was an understatement."

"West side season ticket holder here," a fan wrote. "I could not take the heat. I have MS and MS+major heat = disaster. I DESPISE September day games."

"Too damn hot," another fan said.

"It's been as hot as the face of the sun on the east side," Jason Inman wrote.

"Yeah, no more September day games," another added.

It's 1000 degrees," said Nolaluckydog.

Meanhwile, LSU came out strong in the second half, going on to win 34-17. Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier led the charge, completing 32-of-44 passes for three touchdowns and no interceptions.

In Week 5, LSU will host South Alabama, with kickoff scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET.

UCLA, on the other hand, will host No. 9 Oregon at the Rose Bowl, with the kickoff time to be determined.
