FEMA has given $1.45 million to those affected by storms in Fulton County

FULTON COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency has so far given back to hundreds in Fulton County affected by the severe storms that occurred from July 13 to 16.

According to FEMA Spokeswoman Leyla Gulen, FEMA has approved $1.45 million for 305 Fulton County residents who were affected by the storms.

This is part of the $90.9 million that FEMA has given to homeowners and renters across the state to cover basic home repairs or replacement and other disaster-related expenses after the storms.

Fulton County cleaning up after devastating storm damage

Those who were affected by the July storms from Fulton, Cook, Henry, St. Clair, Washington, Will and Winnebago Counties can apply for assistance from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration until Nov. 19.

Those who want to apply can do so by going to DisasterAssistance.Gov , downloading the FEMA mobile app or calling the FEMA Helpline at (800) 621-3362.
