Fine Arts Fiesta to accept art work
WILKES-BARRE – Preparations are being made for the Annual Adult and Student Juried Exhibitions for the 61st Annual Wilkes-Barre Fine Arts Fiesta, “Spring into Fiesta” to be held on Public Square, Thursday through Sunday, May 19, 20, 21, 22, 2016.
Artist living within a 100-mile radius of Wilkes-Barre is eligible to compete. Original, recently completed works of art may be entered for any of the six specific adult exhibition categories: Crafts, graphics, painting, photography, sculpture/construction and watercolor. In all categories except crafts no entry is to exceed 4 feet in length in any direction. There is a change with all two-dimensional art: All 2-D artwork must be 9”-12” frame size or larger.
A fee of $9 for the first entry and $6 for each additional entry (maximum of 5) will be charged for handling cost in the adult exhibition. Checks are payable to the Fine Arts Fiesta, Inc.
Delivery for all artwork will be between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, only at Fiesta Central, Midtown Village, 41 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, adjacent to Katana Restaurant. Entry forms can be filled out during delivery of artwork.
Awards are $75 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third in cash or gift certificates in each category. At the discretion of the judges a $200 best of show award can be made along with two purchase prizes and many sponsored awards.
