Join a day of fun, community building and celebration at the West St. Pete CommUNITY Festival.Hosted by the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA), this event will take place at Azalea Park Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2-9 p.m.
The festival features a diverse array of activities, entertainment and food for attendees of all ages. From live music and performances to a bustling Vendor Village and Kid's Corner, there's something for everyone. Come and meet local artists, support small businesses and engage with community organizations that make West St. Pete a wonderful place to live.CareFest 2024
CareFest, the celebration of volunteering and giving back to the community returns, Sunday, Sept. 1 through Thursday, Oct. 31. The City of St. Petersburg will hold its annual CareFest Community Day of Service Saturday, Sept. 28.

Battle for the Bay Beach Cleanup
TODAY: Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Phade for Coastal Cleanup Day as they "Battle for the Bay" against Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, to see who can collect the most trash to beautify our beaches. Keep Pinellas Beautiful (KPB) will be hosting cleanups at two locations in Pinellas County.
Join a morning of competition, then stick around for an after-party at The Getaway (13090 Gandy Blvd. N.) to celebrate a job well done and the chance to win prizes.

Pinellas County Schools Mentors
Mentors change the lives of thousands of Pinellas County students each week. Pinellas County Schools offers a variety of ways for caring adults to have a positive impact as mentors for students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Research has shown that mentoring helps students improve their grades, attendance, behavior, social interactions with adults and outlook on school.
New mentors must first be a registered volunteer with Pinellas County Schools: Volunteer Registration Form
Mentors will then receive one-hour mentor training. Upcoming workshops will be held Sept. 24 through Dec. 19. Choose a workshop time and location (in-person in Largo or virtual over Zoom) here: Mentor Workshop Registration .
Donate clothes to foster children in need
Suncoast Voices for Children provides for the unmet needs of abused, abandoned and neglected children in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Many children enter foster care with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The nonprofit's "Style Voiced" clothing program consists of five locations within offices in Largo, New Port Richey, Trinity and Dade City to provide free, immediate access to four outfits, toiletries and other supplies to children entering into foster care or at risk of entering care. In-person volunteers are needed Sept. 25, Oct. 9 and 30 from 1-3 p.m. to help make grab-and-go bags for the clothing closet. To get involved, email Shawn Burns at .
