Five-star 2025 guard Deniya Prawl has Notre Dame in her final three schools list

Notre Dame already has a top-20 recruit committed in the class of 2025. Head coach Niele Ivey and the Fighting Irish are looking to add another.

Should she choose Notre Dame, Prawl would join No. 19 overall recruit Leah Macy , a 6-2 forward from from Bardstown (Ky.) Bethlehem High School. Mavy has been committed to the Irish since May. She played for Ivey as a member of Team USA at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup in Colombia earlier this year. USA won the gold medal.

Prawl, a Canada native who played in the past with fellow Canadian and current Notre Dame junior Cassandre Prosper , helped her country win a silver medal at the 2024 U17 FIBA World Cup in Mexico this summer. She had 11.9 points, a team-high 7.6 rebounds and another team-best 3.7 assists in 27.2 minutes per game in the tournament.

Prawl told Talia Goodman of On3 she will announce her commitment on Nov. 11 . She spoke to Goodman about all of her finalists. Here's what she said about Notre Dame:

"From the beginning of my visit, I was comfortable. I just enjoyed my time out on three of those visits. They've been recruiting me for forever, for as long as I can remember. So we built a relationship over the phone, and once we actually got in person, it was just even better. So I think I got everything I expected and more out of that visit as well."

Here's what Prawl told Goodman about her recruitment in general, all of which seems to bode well for the Irish considering the type of program Ivey leads in terms of turning out professionals and getting highly ranked recruits on the floor right away:

"All three of those schools been very consistent, and it's just continue building the relationship with the team. I think that's my biggest thing and being comfortable with the playing style...making sure that I'm going to be getting a great development plan to make me a pro in the future.

"So that's one of the boxes that we're looking to check off. Playing as a freshman is something that we're looking for. My biggest thing is relationships and just being comfortable where I am and happy."
