Presenting the award, Rachael Treanor from the NYCI National Youth Health Programme said "This award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all at Sligo Community Training Centre who are committed to the highest quality standards in health promotion and there is a key priority here to ensure a healthy and safe place for young people and staff".

Ms. Treanor added: "Congratulations are in order to the staff and learners of Sligo CTC, especially to Mary and the Health Promotion Team and those who have guided the organisation through the HQM process to ensure that their work is in line with national and international best practices in the area of youth health promotion. Sligo Community Training Centre is a credit to those working there and it is clear that health promotion has been included in all aspects of the centre.

The great work carried out here supports the national Healthy Ireland campaign, which is about increasing our focus on prevention, health promotion, and supporting young people to improve their health and wellbeing."
