Footage of a 'strange-looking' beast slinking around a West Virginia park has left residents and experts baffled. Brittany Keller was driving to work on October 24 when she first spotted the animal near a group of deer at Ritter Park in Huntington. It had a dark furry coat with a long white stripe and a curved tail. Stunned, Keller rolled down her window to take a video on her cell phone, and told WSAZ 3News : 'When I stopped to take a better look, I realized it was nothing I had ever seen here before.' When Keller asked other local residents what they thought it was, they were equally as stumped. One woman who was shown the footage on Keller's phone responded: 'Oh my gosh! But really, what is that?' Keller appeared amused by her response and replied: 'I don't know.' She then moved onto two other women walking around the park with children in strollers. After leaning in to look at the photo one of the woman's eyes grew wide and she laughed and blurted out: 'Oh my god.' Later in the clip, she said that it looks like a 'nightmare,' as her young daughter cried in the background. Keller posted her unusual sighting to her social media pages where many people tried to work out what the mystery animal could be. One person asked if was a lemur. But Andy McKee, a member of the Zoology Zone Science Center, said lemurs are from the island of Madagascar so it would be very very odd to find one in that area unless it was somebody's pet. Another resident approached by Keller claimed 'it is definitely a lion cub'. 'I am going with that. That's my answer,' they added. He added: 'It looks more like a fox with mange or some type of issue than a lemur.' Mange is a skin disease that is contagious and caused by mites. It leads to itchiness, hair thinning and loss, thickened skin, and scabbing.
