The Washington Commanders have signed defensive end Justin Hollins to their practice squad, the team announced Thursday.

Hollins, 28, returns to the Commanders after he signed with them during training camp. He was with the team for eight days but was among the final roster cuts on Aug. 27. Hollins appeared in the Commanders' final preseason game against the New England Patriots, recording one tackle and one quarterback hit.

The Denver Broncos used their fifth-round pick (No. 156) to select Hollins in the 2019 NFL draft. The Broncos released Hollins on Sept. 5, 2020 and he claimed by the Los Angeles Rams the following day. He was a member of the Rams team that won Super Bowl 56 following the 2021 season before he was released in November 2022. He was claimed by the Green Bay Packers in November and he re-signed with Green Bay for the 2023 season but was released in October.

Hollins signed with the New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers practice squads during the 2023 season.
