Fort Collins police are working to confirm the witnesses' statements; however, officers did confirm the man was struck by multiple vehicles, all of which stayed on scene.

Officers are now investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the pedestrian's death.

"Unfortunately, pedestrian-related crashes continue to increase across the state, and Fort Collins is no exception to that. To ensure everyone's safety, it's crucial for drivers to be attentive at pedestrian crossings, and for pedestrians to adhere to crosswalk signals at all times," said Sgt. David Lindsay who oversees the Fort Collins Police CRASH Team.

East Harmony Road at Lemay Avenue was closed for four and a half hours. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information is asked to call Officer Brandon Barnes at 970-221 6540.
