Forum stresses faith in voter engagement
Boynton Beach, Fla. – Faith in Florida in partnership with St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Pathways to Prosperity, and UNIFY Palm Beach County, presented a People's Forum on Oct. 14 at the church in Boynton Beach aimed at mobilizing working-class families to vote in the Nov. 5 General Election. Attendees engaged directly with candidates running for the Florida House of Representatives District 90. Candidates had the opportunity to respond to concerns and share their plans to address them if elected. Following the forum, attendees were invited to a meet-and-greet session with the candidates. Organizers said the objective was to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions at the polls, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued.
