Free F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix watch party for Southern Nevadans

HENDERSON, Nev. (FOX5) - The City of Henderson plans to host a free Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Watch Party. It's scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. The race will start around 10 p.m. Water Street Plaza will have a 42-foot jumbotron with a DJ, giveaways and limited amount of free food. Attendees could also win tickets for next year by donating to a pet supply drive for Henderson Animal Care. The City of Henderson is also hosting a cardboard Formula 1 car showcase and contest. Guests could create their own F1 car and they will be judged by creativity, quality and F1 authenticity. The deadline for this contest is Monday, Nov. 18.
