Friday Night Blitz: High school football enters Week 2
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The high school football season is officially in full swing.
In this week's edition of the Friday Night Blitz , 12 Sports' Sam Knox and Mike Uva will bring you high school football scores, highlights and more from around Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, including the Game of the Week: Portsmouth at Cranston West.
Providence Journal sportswriter Eric Rueb will also break down the night's games and highlights the area's top talent.
This season, 12 Sports is recognizing players through a new segment called Player of the Week . Voting was open Monday through Wednesday, and fans selected Burrillville quarterback Logan Gelinas as Week 1's winner. Be sure to check back for next week's nominees.
