Columbus Community Hospital has announced the addition of Angela Fehringer, APRN, to its growing cardiology team.

Fehringer's expertise in cardiology will be instrumental in providing comprehensive care to patients in the Columbus community. Her ability to diagnose and treat various heart conditions, as well as her commitment to patient education and prevention, will benefit patients and their families.

"Angela has already made a significant impact on our team," said Dr. Sabu George, a cardiologist at Columbus Community Hospital. "Her ability to adapt quickly, combined with her positive attitude and deep knowledge, makes her a valuable asset. She's a true team player who seamlessly integrates into our collaborative work environment."

A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Fehringer's diverse background includes a love of running, gardening, reading and spending time with her family. Her dedication to her professional career is complemented by these personal pursuits.

"I'm excited to be part of the Columbus Community Hospital team," Fehringer said. "The people here are so friendly and supportive and I've learned so much in the past weeks."

Fehringer's distinguished career spans over two decades, including several years as a stay-at-home mom. She graduated from Creighton Nursing School in 1998 and later earned a Master's in Science and Nursing from Hawaii Pacific University in 2002. While in Hawaii, she worked at Waikiki Hospital, providing outreach services to the homeless and uninsured.

"My experience working at Waikiki Health Center taught me the importance of providing accessible and compassionate care to all patients, regardless of their background," Fehringer said.

After living in Hawaii for a few years, Fehringer returned to the mainland and became a stay-at-home mom in Columbus for 16 years.

"I'm so grateful to be back in the health care field after focusing on my family," she said. "Being involved in my children's life is important to me."

In 2019, she returned to healthcare by joining CCH Occupational Health Services as an RN. Recently, she recertified her nurse practitioner boards and completed the APRN reentry plan. Now, she's working alongside Dr. Sabu George as an APRN in the cardiology department and making a positive impact.

"I'm looking forward to continuing to grow and learn in this new role and contributing to the excellent care that Columbus Community Hospital provides," Fehringer said.
