COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A former high school wrestling coach pled guilty to a harassment charge tied to an incident where he was accused of inappropriate contact with a child.

Anthony J. Aiello, of Grove City, pled guilty on Aug. 26 to telecommunications harassment, a first-degree misdemeanor. Charges of sexual imposition and public indecency were dropped in exchange for the plea agreement.

Aiello was removed as head wrestling coach at Bishop Ready High School when he was charged in June.

According to court records, in November 2023, during a Facetime call with a child, Aiello was allegedly touching himself, with the child saying they saw Aiello's genitalia during the call.

Aiello was sentenced to 180 days in jail, five years probation, and a $100 fine.
