Front-runner for spot with Trump administration has Harrisburg ties

President-elect Donald Trump has been firing off nominations for positions in his new administration, and multiple reports say that one that has yet to be made could have a significant tie to Harrisburg.

Alina Habba, a lawyer who has represented Trump, is reportedly a frontrunner to be the next White House Press Secretary.

Habba, 40, a New Jersey native, was a 2010 graduate of the Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg.

Habba was asked Tuesday during an appearance on Sean Hannity's Fox News show whether she would take the job.

"Sean, you know me better than that," she told Hannity with a smile. "You would never have me on prime time if I answered questions like that."

When Hannity asked her about it again later in the interview, Habba replied, "I'm very loyal to President Trump. I would think about it. Very seriously."

Habba first started working for Trump in 2021, and is a senior advisor for MAGA, Inc.
