Get Free Trees For Your Radnor Township Property Sunday The Radnor Conservancy is offering up to two free native trees per Radnor Township property this weekend for its "Trick or Tree Giveaway."

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The Radnor Conservancy is giving away more than 300 native trees this weekend for its "Trick or Tree Giveaway."

Residents can sign up to claim up to two free trees for their properties from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Radnor Township Municipal Building.

To get a tree or two, register online here. Do not register for more than two total trees.

Residents mix and match tree species when signing up. See the list of available tree species here .

Properties are limited to two free trees.

Registrants must arrange for the pickup of trees between the hours listed above at the municipal building. Trees will not be held after noon Sunday.

When coming to pick up trees, drivers should follow signs up the hill to the circular drive-in front of the building. Radnor Conservancy volunteers will be on hand to help loading trees into vehicles.

The Radnor Conservancy offered these tips for keeping trees healthy:

- does the location satisfy the light requirements for the species?

  • Full sun – Plants need at least six hours of direct sun daily
  • Part sun – Plants thrive with between three and six hours of direct sun per day
  • Part shade – Plants require between three and six hours of sun per day, but need protection from intense midday sun
  • Full shade – Plants require less than three hours of direct sun per day
  • Is the average soil moist enough? All trees, regardless of species, will need watering for two to three growing seasons.

Does the planting site have enough space for the tree's mature height?

The Radnor Township Municipal Building is located at 301 Iven Ave. in Wayne.
