TAMPA — Hurricane Helene did not interrupt the Bucs' preparation for Sunday's home game against the Eagles.

But the devastating storm surge caused significant damage to many communities throughout the state, including the Tampa Bay area.

That's why the Glazer family, which owns the Bucs, has pledged to donate $1 million to nonprofits aiding victims of Helene.

"The flooding caused by Hurricane Helene's storm surge has been devastating to many throughout the state and specifically our Tampa Bay community," Bucs co-owner Darcie Glazer Kassewitz said in a statement released by the team Saturday.

"There are many areas throughout our community that will require time and additional resources in order to begin the recovery. We offer our full support to those who have been impacted and are extremely thankful for the heroic and brave efforts of the many first responders and utility workers who have been working tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our community during this difficult time."
