loria M. (O’Brien) Comiskey, of Hummelstown, died Wednesday at her home.
Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Theophilouscq and
Mary (Walsh) O’Brien. She was a graduate of Berwick High School. She retired
as a crossing guard for Lower Dauphin School District after 30 years of
service, and also from the The Hotel Hershey, where she played Mrs. Claus with
her husband. She was a former beautician and an IBM operator at the former
Olmsted Air Force Base, Lower Swatara Township.
She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey,
Hummelstown Senior Center, the former Holy Name Catholic Church, Swoyersville,
and its Blessed Virgin Society. She was also active in the Dauphin County 4-H
Clubs and was a den mother for the former Cub Scout Pack 54, Middletown.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Bernard A.; son, Bernard A., III,
Grantville; daughters, Maureen G. Kepner, Camp Hill; Theresa A. Wagner,
Palmyra; and Joan M., Hummelstown; seven grandchildren; and brother, James,
Berwick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday from St. Joan of
Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, with the Rev. Monsignor
Leo N. Bierster officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West
Hanover Township. Friends may call from 7:15 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 10 a.m.
Monday at the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home Inc., 114 W. Main St., Hummelstown.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial
