(WKYT)—For today's Good Question, Sandy asks: "If Donald Trump is not elected, can he run again every election until he is reelected?"

Yes, he could.

Since Donald Trump has already been elected president once, he is limited to one additional term, consecutive or not.

The 22nd Amendment says in part, "No person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice, and no person who has held the office of president, or acted as president, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected president shall be elected to the office of the president more than once."

However, there is nothing in the Constitution to limit how many times someone can run for president.

President Joe Biden first ran for president in 1988 and again in 2008 before becoming former President Obama's vice president.

Ronald Reagan ran for president twice, losing in the primaries in 1968 and 1976 before eventually winning in 80.

You also have people who use their candidacy to get attention, like performance artist Vermin Supreme, who wears a boot on his head and has promised a free pony to all Americans. He's run in every presidential election since 1992.
