Grace Weidner, of South Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday at the Hospice of the
VNA Inpatient Unit of Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in 1920 in Stowell, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ella
(O’Mara) Hope. She attended Stowell schools. She was a member of St. Aloysius
Church, Lee Park, Hanover Township, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American
Legion Post 609.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August; brother, Thomas; and
sister, Rita Meir.

Surviving are her sons, William, Lyndwood, Hanover Township; and August,
Columbia, Md.; daughters, Joan Rish, Hanover Green, Hanover Township; Ruth
Lawlor, Long Island, N.Y.; and Patricia, south Wilkes-Barre; six
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, John, Atlanta; and Leonard,
Dalton, Ga.; nieces and nephews.



The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral
Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
at St. Aloysius Church. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover
Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
