Gratiot County crash kills two people

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS )– The Gratiot County Sheriff's Office confirmed two people died in a two-car crash Wednesday morning in Seville Township.
The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. Deputies arrived on the scene at M-46 and Warner Road and investigators say a 67-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man from Sumner were traveling north on Warner Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at M-46.
The car was hit by a 61-year-old man from Riverdale. Investigators say they believe the 61-year-old man was traveling at a high speed on M-46.
Both the 67-year-old driver and 54-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Deputies say it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. The incident is under investigation.
