Greenfield hosts auction to rebuild fire department

GREENFIELD, Iowa — The Warren Cultural Center and Iowa Rock N' Roll Music Association are hosting a concert and auction to help rebuild the Greenfield Fire Department.

On Sunday, live music began at 12:00 p.m. and is expected to continue till around 6:00 p.m. The event is taking place outside 154 public square in Greenfield. Several musicians are sets to play throughout the event, with Hector Anchondo headlining the event.

"We're not just putting on a concert; we're creating an opportunity for our community to come together and show that, even after the storm, Greenfield is still rockin'," said Thaddeus Hawley, event organizer. "This event is about more than just raising funds to rebuild our fire department; it's about lifting spirits and standing strong together."

Along with music there will also be a raffle featuring a variety of unique prizes, including a guitar signed by Vince Gill. There will also be two fire suits that were donated by Xfinity driver Sammy Smith.
