Guns brandished in SF armed robbery; 3 teens arrested

( KRON ) – Three teenagers were arrested after an armed robbery on Sunday, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

At 1:43 a.m., SF police officers responded to an armed robbery in the 300 block of Bayshore Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers were informed by the victim that the suspects approached, surrounded him and stole his electric scooter. Police said the victim tried to escape the suspects, but they followed him brandishing guns.

The suspects fled southbound on Bayshore Boulevard towards Cortland Avenue, near Ingleside Police District.

Ingleside police responded to the area following hearing a broadcast of the description of the suspects. Officers located and detained three male suspects matching the descriptions at Nevada Street and Cortland Avenue.

Police said they found the scooter near the area.

SFPD said two of the suspects were carrying concealed loaded handguns.

One of the suspects was an underage minor. The 16-year-old was arrested for robbery and conspiracy.

The other suspects were 18 years of age. The suspects were arrested on multiple charges including suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm, exhibiting a deadly weapon and carjacking.
