Sixty-four teachers in Harmony Public Schools' West Texas District will receive bonuses this year as part of the , a special fund created to reward the state's highest-performing teachers.

The recognition means that $565,000 in teacher bonuses will be paid to teachers in the West Texas District.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) aims to give top teachers a clear path to a six-figure salary.

Unlike traditional grants, TIA allows districts to designate outstanding teachers using approved local systems based on student growth and classroom observation. These designations—Recognized, Exemplary, or Master—generate additional district funding to reward high performers. The annual allotment for each eligible teacher helps districts incentivize effective teachers to stay in the classroom and focus on high-needs campuses.

We are honored to have some of the best and brightest educators in our classrooms shaping the minds of our students," said Kamil Yilmaz, West Texas Area Superintendent. "We are thankful to the TEA for recognizing our teachers' dedication and hard work.

Teachers selected can receive an added salary of between $3,000 and $32,000 per year for five years directly from the TEA.

Harmony Public Schools is a Texas-born, Texas-wide public charter school system employing more than 5,000 school professionals statewide.

Harmony's West Texas District serves students in PreK-Grade 12, with five campuses in El Paso and one in Lubbock, Odessa, and Midland.
