Health department hosts flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinic Friday

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Mid-Michigan District Health Department is hosting a flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinic today in St. Johns. It will be open from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3 p.m. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, everyone six months and older in the United States should get the updated flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

Health Officer Liz Braddock said, "Vaccinations are still the best way to reduce your risk of complication from severe infection, as well as protecting those around you. Even if you've never received a COVID-19 vaccine, it's never too late to get vaccinated."

No appointment is necessary, though a valid ID and proof of insurance will be required. Most insurances are accepted. For those without insurance coverage, there is a sliding fee schedule available.
