J.Davis2 hr ago

An Uber user in San Francisco, California, scheduled a ride using a ride-hailing service, unaware that their ordinary excursion would develop into an unexpected encounter with a startup founder. After entering the automobile, the passenger was welcomed by a poster taped to one of the seats. It stated that the driver has built a smartphone app and is seeking 1,000 downloads before pitching it to investors.

Intrigued, the passenger struck into a conversation with the driver, Frederico Coutrim, who is developing an app to interpret communications in real-time.

What did the poster read in the car?

Reshan Khanna, the passenger's companion, posted a picture of the billboard on X (previously known as Twitter) to help Coutrim meet his goal.

She wrote, "Chatting with our Uber driver who is building a startup and looking for feedback. If anyone works in adjacent fields please hit him up."

The poster reads, "Please, help me build my startup. It is called TransChatMe- the revolutionary free mobile app that translates your messages automatically! No more copying and pasting – just write your message, and TransChatMe handles the rest. I need 1,000 users, so I can share it with investors."

Finally, Uber driver Frederico Coutrim released two QR codes for the app: one for Android users and another for iOS users.

Uber driver expressed his gratitude

In an update, Khanna stated that despite her companion booking the journey with Uber, she received an email from the driver. "Woke up to a very sweet email actually, my friend booked the Uber but he somehow found me on email/Linkedin." In addition, she posted a screenshot of the email she received.

The email's subject read, "Thank you so much from TransChatMe."
