Helping Texas veterans with PTSD: Goodblend offers free medical marijuana prescriptions
AUSTIN - Texas veterans may soon have more access to expanded treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, cannabis dispensary Goodblend Texas is hosting Veterans Wellness events across the state, including one here in San Antonio!
Under the Compassionate Use Program, eligible veterans can obtain lawful prescriptions for Medical Marijuana for conditions ranging from pain management to PTSD.
Goodblend's Veteran Impact Program would provide educational materials to interested veterans, as well as free prescriptions, a 20% veteran discount, a commemorative patch as well as a free BBQ lunch!
Enacted in 2015, the Texas Compassionate Use Program allows for a network of physicians who use cannabis to treat epilepsy symptoms. The initiative has since been expanded.
