Here are ceremonies, meals and deals happening in Lancaster County for Veterans Day
Veterans and active-duty military will be honored for their service around Lancaster County on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

- The Marietta Community House will host a special event to honor all veterans at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10. There will be a short ceremony with local speakers followed by a brick dedication. There will be a brief reception after the event with refreshments and tours of the buildings.
- Donegal High School, 1025 Koser Road, Mount Joy, will host its annual Veterans Day program Monday, Nov. 11. A 9 a.m. continental breakfast reception will precede the ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. in the auditorium. The Donegal High School Chorus will perform, paying tribute to the school veteran alumni. The program will conclude with playing of taps. RSVP is required by Nov. 6, by calling 717-653-1871.
- First Reformed United Church of Christ, 40 East Orange St., will host a Veterans Day service at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11. Program will include music, prayers and a reading, concluding with playing of Taps. Light refreshments will follow the service. - Veterans Honor Park of Lancaster will host a Veterans Day celebration Sunday, Nov. 10, at 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, at 1 p.m. Keynote speaker Josh Parsons, Lancaster County commissioner and Army infantry officer, will share his experiences and honor the sacrifices made for our nation's security. - Ephrata's Mainspring of Winters Leadership Memorial Committee will host their 10th annual Luminary Tribute along the Winters Memorial Trail, 229 Railroad Ave., Ephrata, on Monday, Nov. 11, from sunset to 8 p.m. Free and open to the public. Musical entertainment provided by Roger Fitzwater and Woodcrest Audio and the Ephrata Sixth Grade Chorus. Hogs & Heroes Foundation PA2 Chapter will present a flag line.
Free meals, breakfast/dinner
- Faith United Church of Christ, 1204 Wabank Road, will host an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, Veterans eat free. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children ages 3 and under. - Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater, 3065 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, will offer free dinner and show ticket for veterans for any Holly Jolly Jukebox show Nov. 1-30. Discounts at restaurants, businesses
- Applebee's: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free entree on Nov. 11. Dine-in only.
- BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse: current and former military members with a valid military ID can dine in and get a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie® with no minimum purchase. In addition, veterans will receive a bounce back coupon for a free appetizer to redeem between Nov. 12 and Dec. 31.
- Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from a select menu on Nov. 11. Dine-in only.
- Bonefish Grill: Active-duty service members and veterans get a complimentary order of bang bang shrimp with a soft beverage on Nov. 11 with valid ID.
- Buffalo Wild Wings: On Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty service members get 10 free boneless wings and fries with valid ID. Available for dine-in or, if ordering from a Buffalo Wild Wings GO location, available for walk-in/orders placed at the counter only.
- Carrabba's: From Nov. 8 through 10, veterans ordering an entrée dining in can take home another entrée of equal or lesser value for free. On Nov. 11, order a complimentary dine-in appetizer or dessert paired with a free nonalcoholic beverage. Veterans and active-duty military are asked to show a service ID.
- Chili's: Veterans and active-duty service members get a free meal from a select menu. Available for in-restaurant only.
- Dunkin': Active and retired military get a free doughnut on Nov. 11. Limit one per guest while supplies last. Offer available in-store only. Not available for orders placed using On-the-Go Mobile Ordering through the Dunkin' Mobile App.
- Friendly's: Veterans get a free All American Burger with cheese and a beverage on Nov. 11. Available in-restaurant only from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. Must show military ID or honorable discharge document to receive the offer.
- Golden Corral: Golden Corral is hosting Military Appreciation Night from 5 p.m. to close on Nov. 11. This includes a free "thank you" meal when dining in.
- Hoss's Steak and Sea House: Veterans and active-duty military receive free soup, salad, bread, nacho, and dessert bar and iced tea on Nov. 11. Dine-in only. No other discounts apply. In addition, veterans will receive a $10 off $40 voucher to be used on a future visit in the month of November. Must show proof of military service to be eligible.
- IHOP: Veterans and active-duty military get a free red, white, and blueberry pancake combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 11. Dine-in only, at participating restaurants.
- Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant: Veterans and active-duty service members with proof of service who dine in on Nov. 11 get a complimentary burger or sandwich along with a non-alcoholic beverage.
- Little Caesars: From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary lunch combo, which includes four slices of Little Caesars Detroit-style deep dish pizza and a 20-ounce beverage.
- Olive Garden: To thank members of the military for their service, Olive Garden is offering those who dine in on Nov. 11 a complimentary entrée from a special menu.
- Outback Steakhouse: Active-duty military and veterans get a free bloomin' onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entree in-restaurant on Nov. 11.
- Red Lobster: Veterans, active-duty military and reservists get free veterans shrimp & chip – featuring six Walt's favorite shrimp, served with cocktail sauce and ketchup, as well as crispy french fries and coleslaw – on Nov. 11. Show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem this dine-in only offer.
- Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military guests get a complimentary Red's big tavern burger and bottomless side when dining in at participating restaurants on Nov. 11.
- Starbucks: Starbucks is honoring those who have served with a free tall (12-ounce) brewed coffee (hot or iced) for veterans, military service members and military spouses at participating stores and licensed locations on Nov. 11.
- Sheetz: Sheetz convenience store location are offering veterans and active-duty military personnel a free half turkey or ham sub and a regular size fountain drink on Nov. 11. Sheetz will also provide a free car wash (valued at $9) to veterans and active-duty military. Military ID or proof of service must be presented to qualify.
- Texas Roadhouse: At participating locations, active-duty military and veterans can dine in or receive a meal voucher from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 with a form of military ID. These vouchers are good for dine in or carry out at a later time. The voucher is good until May 30. Select menu applies for dine-in from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11.
- TGI Fridays: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free meal 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 11 from a select menu.
- Wawa: Veterans, active-duty military members, and their family members get a free cup of hot coffee on Nov. 11.
