Here are the 2024 High-A All-Stars and award winners
Every year, managers from across the Minors vote on All-Stars for their given league, as well as the Most Valuable Player, Pitcher of the Year and Top MLB Prospect.
Wrapping up the level is the South Atlantic League. Charles McAdoo - traded from the Pirates to the Blue Jays on July 30 - was crowned MVP, with the Yankees' Cam Schlittler winning Pitcher of the Year and Rays first baseman Xavier Isaac being named the Top MLB Prospect.
Most Valuable Player: Cooper Ingle, Lake County (CLE) The Guardians' No. 14 prospect spent an impressive 68 games with the Captains before forcing a promotion to Double-A. Ingle batted .313/.433/.500, belting nine homers, a triple and 18 doubles while driving in 55 and scoring 45 runs. He worked 51 walks compared to 40 strikeouts. Behind the plate, the 22-year-old threw out 19 would-be thieves.
Pitcher of the Year: Jaden Hamm, West Michigan Whitecaps (DET) In his first full season of pro ball, the 2023 fifth-rounder was stellar on the mound. Across 24 appearances (23 starts), the Tigers' No. 7 prospect fanned 122 batters – fourth most in the league – and posted a 2.64 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. Hamm's strongest stretch of his 2024 campaign was between April and May, when he piled up 51 punchouts in 37 2/3 innings and allowed just two runs. Hamm relied heavily on his 60-grade fastball this season, while also mixing in his 55-grade curveball.
Top MLB Prospect: Thomas White, Beloit Sky Carp (MIA) After delivering a 3.18 ERA in eight Single-A starts, White was promoted to Beloit alongside Noble Meyer ( MLB No. 71 ) on May 28, and he proved he belonged instantly. With the High-A affiliate, MLB's No. 43 prospect tacked on 76 K's in 13 starts, finishing the year with a system-leading 120 strikeouts and 11.03 K/9 at Beloit. He also posted a better ERA (2.61) and WHIP (1.16) at the higher level. Drafted in Competitive Balance Round A in 2023, White, standing at 6-foot-5, has the potential to be a front-line starter and sports a fastball that can reach 97 mph and a 60-grade curveball with significant break.
Most Valuable Player: Kyle Karros, Spokane Indians (COL) A key cog in Spokane's incredible season, Karros locked up the Northwest League title with a walk-off hit by pitch in Game 4 of the Championship Series. The moment capped off a year in which the Rockies' No. 18 prospect slashed .311/.390/.485 - all marks that led the Northwest League - and slugged 15 homers. Additionally, the third baseman paced the Rockies farm system in several offensive categories, including RBIs (78), hits (147), doubles (33), extra-base hits (50) and total bases (229).
Pitcher of the Year: Sean Sullivan, Spokane Indians (COL) Look no further than Sullivan's first start to see the dominance he displayed all season. Facing Vancouver in the first series of 2024, the Rockies' No. 10 prospect racked up a career-high 13 strikeouts in six scoreless innings. The outing was just one of four double-digit punchout starts for Sullivan, including back-to-back starts in late July in which he fanned 10 batters in five scoreless innings. The 6-foot-4 southpaw finished his High-A season with a 2.16 ERA and 0.84 WHIP in 14 starts, before earning a promotion to Double-A Hartford on Aug. 3.
Top MLB Prospect: Bryce Eldridge, Eugene Emeralds (SF) There may not be a Minor Leaguer who had a more productive season in 2024 than Bryce Eldridge. The 6-foot-7 first baseman – ranked as MLB's No. 50 prospect - rose 41 spots on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list, while ascending three minor levels. In 48 games at High-A, he delivered video game-like numbers, crushing 12 big flies and posting a .335/.442/.618 slash line. Eldridge was promoted to Double-A on Sept. 3 and Triple-A on Sept. 14. He leads the Giants organization in home runs (23), RBIs (90), extra-base hits (52) and total bases (224) this season.
Most Valuable Player: Charles McAdoo, Greensboro (PIT) Acquired by the Blue Jays in a straight-up trade for Isiah Kiner-Falefa at the Deadline, McAdoo started his breakout year by tearing up the South Atlantic League for 60 games. He put up a .336/.415/.561 slash line for the Grasshoppers, and he was leading the loop in batting average and on-base percentage and second in slugging as of his last game (on June 20) before being promoted to Double-A. He was also the SAL leader in total bases (125) and hits (75) and tied for first in RBIs (52). He had nine homers, four triples and 15 doubles.
Pitcher of the Year: Cam Schlittler, Hudson Valley (NYY) The Yankees have garnered a reputation for finding diamonds in the rough when it comes to the Draft, and Schlittler is no exception. The right-hander from Northeastern, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 Draft, opened eyes in 2024, with a 2.60 ERA and 1.91 WHIP in 17 starts. Equipped with a mid-90s fastball and a polished slider, New York's No. 25 prospect leads the system in strikeouts (154). Schlittler was promoted to Double-A Somerset on Aug. 6 and has a 4.45 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in seven appearances.
Top MLB Prospect: Xavier Isaac, Bowling Green (TB) An All-Star in the Single-A Carolina League last season, Isaac has been a powerhouse at the dish since he was drafted in the first round in 2022. The lefty slugger – ranked as MLB's No. 18 prospect – swatted 15 homers in 71 High-A contests and slashed .287/.381/.535 in 2024. While Isaac's 6-foot-4, 240-pound frame provides 65-grade pop – and plenty of homers - his biggest challenge has been lowering his strikeout rate (33.3%). Isaac was promoted to Double-A on Aug. 2.
