Here's how much rain, wind and damage Indiana got from Hurricane Helene
From high winds to power outages and rain, Hurricane Helene made landfall Thursday night on the Georgia-Florida coast and the storm impacted Indiana throughout the day and night Friday.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has warned the storm could cause damage to trees and buildings, create power outages and dangerous driving conditions with localized flooding possible. Up to two inches of rain is expected through Saturday evening.

Power outages across Indiana
As of Saturday morning, Duke Energy is listing nearly 11,000 customers without power across the state, with most of the outages spread out across Central Indiana. The highest number at a time on Friday was over 59,700.
As of Saturday morning AES In diana is reporting 40,478 of their customers without power across Indianapolis with many clustered in northern parts of Indianapolis, including Washington Township and near Eagle Creek. Friday night, AES Indiana said they had over 50,000 customers without power.
Both Duke and AES Indiana said their crews are working hard on restoration efforts as quickly and safely as possible.
High winds impacting Indiana
Saturday morning, AES Indiana said wind gusts were up to 55 mph and caused notable damage across their service area, impacting 97,000 customers. More than half of their customers have been restored and crews continue working to restore service to the remaining 43,000.
Numerous trees and power lines were down across Central Indiana.
As of Saturday morning, the National Weather Service in Indianapolis said rain is moving back into the area with rain showers continuing on and off throughout the weekend. Additional amounts from a quarter of an inch to an inch of rain are likely.
