Here’s why you shouldn’t worry about getting to your polling place

LA Metro: Metro will be offering free rides on all of its buses, trains, Metro Bike Share program, and Metro Micro on Election Day from midnight to 11:59 p.m. More on how to activate the free bike rides can be found at . And for information on the other programs, visit www.metro.net .
Parking: If you're parking within a one-block radius of a polling place, some restrictions won't be enforced within the city of Los Angeles. That includes time limits, meters, and street sweeping.
Lyft: Lyft is offering 50% off rideshare, bike, and scooter rides on Nov. 5. The deal is up to $10, and you'll need to use the code "VOTE24" from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The company estimates 2 million people will take Lyft to vote.
Uber: Uber's similar 50% off deal will not be available in California. "In California, we are making independent expenditures in state legislative races and are a top contributor to a ballot measure committee in San Francisco," an Uber spokesperson said in a statement to LAist. "Similar to our position in 2020 when we excluded CA because of Prop 22, we are not running the program in CA to avoid the appearance of impropriety."
Other options: Waymo did not immediately respond to LAist's request for comment.
