High school football playoff match-ups

S.Brown3 months ago

SAN ANTONIO - We've been talking about it for at least half the season, but what the Jay Mustangs are doing this season on the grid is historic. Never in school history have they been three rounds deep into the post season.

Well earned; they haven't lost yet outside their own league. And both of the teams they lost to, Harlan and Brennan, are still alive in the playoffs.

Head Coach Gary Gutierrez knew he had a good team going into this season. But turns out, it's historically good. Coach G says they'll have some "unscouted looks" for Dripping Springs, but isn't taking for granted what these moments mean for his team and school.

A big week for "the 210" and "410" - as in Loop 410. Jay the only team inside 410 still alive in the 6A tournament. They take on Dripping Springs on Saturday morning at 11am at the Alamodome.

Steele and Harlan Friday at 11am at the Alamodome followed by Brennan and Lake Travis at 3pm.
