Non-district football moves on with all four local teams back on the gridiron this Friday. Here's a look at all four games.

Bassett (2-1) at William Byrd (3-0), 7 p.m.

The Bengals have won two straight games, scoring 51 points in each, but they'll face likely their toughest defensive opponent this week in Vinton.

The Terriers are 3-0 and have allowed just one touchdown this season. They're outscoring opponents 149-6 with back-to-back shutouts against Hidden Valley and Christiansburg.

Byrd is the defending Region 3D champions, and have won 10 straight regular season games.

Bassett has scored more than 50 points in back-to-back weeks for the first time since October 8 and 16, 2021.

The Bengals and Terriers have played each of the last six fall seasons, with both teams winning three times each. Five of those six meetings have been decided by more than 20 points.

The Terriers were victorious in the most recent meeting, winning 31-0 last September.

Franklin County (1-2) at Magna Vista (3-0), 7 p.m.

Franklin County comes into Week 4 with a 1-2 record, but don't let that deceive you. The Eagles two losses have come at the hands of two teams that both reached the state finals last season. After opening the season with a win over Bassett, FC lost to VHSL Class 4 state runners-up Salem, 56-30, in Week 2, and VHSL Class 3 state champs Liberty Christian, 41-14 last Friday.

The Eagles have scored 85 points this season while allowing 111.

Magna Vista (1-1) had a bye in Week 3 after defeating Dan River in Week 2.

The two teams have played every year since 2009. Magna Vista is 9-6 against FC in that span, including a 41-21 victory last fall.

Franklin County leads the all-time meetings with Magna Vista, 13-12.

Dan River (1-2) at Martinsville (1-2), 7 p.m.

Dan River and Martinsville have identical records this season, but it's the Bulldogs who come into the Week 4 matchup with momentum.

Martinsville snapped a 13 game losing streak on Friday with a 26-6 home win over Chatham.

Dan River defeated Tunstall in Week 1, but have since lost back-to-back games to Magna Vista and Bassett.

The Wildcats have been outscored 115-62 this season.

Martinsville leads the all-time matchup with Dan River, 33-11. The Bulldogs won three straight meetings from 2021-2022, including the 2022 playoffs. Dan River won last year, 56-27.

Patrick County (1-2) at Chatham (2-1), 7 p.m.

Patrick County had its highest scoring game of the season on Friday, a 42-13 win over North Stokes. PC scored five second half touchdowns in the win.

The Cougars are nearly equal in points scored (69) and allowed (70) this season.

They'll face a Chatham team which lost for the first time this fall on Friday at Martinsville. Chatham has allowed at least 26 points the last two weeks, and has been outscored, 70-62, this season.

The two teams have played 28 times in history, but only started playing each other again in 2021. PC has won two of last three meetings, including a 17-14 victory last fall.
