High-charting heavy metal bands coming to Wind Creek Event Center

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A heavy metal band that in the late 2000s and 2010s had five Top 20 albums will perform at Wind Creek Event Center, it has been announced.

It will be joined by another heavy metal band that from the mid-2000s to 2020 produced seven Top 40 albums.

Bullet for My Valentine, which has had 16 Top 40 songs on the Mainstream Rock and Alternative Rock charts, will perform at 6:30 p.m. May 9.

Joining it on the show will be Trivium, whose 2011 album "In Waves" hit No. 13 and whose 2015 song "Until the World Goes Cold" hit the Top 10 on the Mainstream Rock chart.

Also on the bill will be supporting bands August Burns Red, a Grammy Award-nominated Lancaster heavy metal band who had two albums crossed over to the Top 10 of Billboard's overall albums chart.

And Bleed From Within, a Scottish heavy metal band that has released six albums.

Tickets, at $59 for general admission standing, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Wind Creek website .

The bands' success

Bullet for My Valentine formed in its native Wales in 1998 and released its debut album, "The Poison," in 2005.

The disc barely hit the Billboard Top 200 chart, but sold gold and produced the single "All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)," but peaked at No. 13 Mainstream Rock chart.

Its 2008 album, "Scream Aim Fire," hit No. 4 on the Billboard Albums chart, and produced three Top 40 hits on the Mainstream Rock chart, including the title song, which peaked at No. 16.

The group had even more success with its 2010 album "Fever," which peaked at No. 3. That album gave Bullet for My Valentine its highest-charting song, "Your Betrayal," which hit No. 5 on the Mainstream Rock chart.

The group has since had 10 Top 40 hits on various charts, with the most recent being 2022's "No More Tears to Cry." Its most recent, self-titled, album peaked at No. 153 on billboard's Albums chart.

Trivium formed in Florida in 1999 and released its debut album, "Ember to Inferno," in 2003. But it first had success in the United States with its third album, 2006's "The Crusade."

That disc hit the Top 25 and had the Top 30 Mainstream Rock chart hit "The Rising."

The group had 15 more top 40 songs on various rock charts, with the highest-charting being "Until the World Goes Cold" and 2020's "Catastrophist" and 2021's "In the Court of the Dragon," both of which were No. 8 on the Mainstream Rock chart.

Its latest charting song was "Feast of Fire" in 2021, which peaked at No. 18.
