Highland Park football keeps on winning, tops Brearley -- Football recap

Markos and Kosta Hantsoulis connected for three touchdowns in the air in Highland Park's 31-6 win over Brearley in Highland Park.

The Owls are 3-0 for the first time since 2009, and they've won four-straight games dating back to last year for the first time since 2008.

Prior to its win in the final game a year ago, Highland Park endured a 51-game losing streak.

Brearley, which graduated many of its offensive leaders from the 2023 team, beat Highland Park last season, 50-24.

Friday, Markos Hantsoulis found Kosta Hantsoulis for touchdowns of 26-, 13-, and 85-yards as Highland Park pulled away for the win.

Kosta Hantsoulis also made all four of his extra points as well as a 20-yard field in the fourth quarter.

Zyaire Holland also added a 3-yard touchdown on the ground in the third for the Owls.

Brearley (0-3) made it a 7-6 game in the first quarter after an 86-yard touchdown run from Mathew Resende. The 2-point conversion run was stopped.
