Holiday pop-up market opens just steps from Michigan’s tallest Christmas tree

DETROIT - It has become part of downtown Detroit's annual holiday tradition: The pop-up Holiday Market.

Located in Cadillac Square, just steps from Michigan's tallest Christmas Tree and the adjacent outdoor ice skating rink at Campus Martius Park, the Holiday Market is now open through January 5, 2025.

The Market features more than a dozen local businesses, including clothing, jewelry, art and food.

"This season, we are welcoming 17 Detroit-based pop-up vendors," said Linda Nosegbe, Dir. of Economic Mobility with Gilbert Family Foundation. "We are thrilled to see these talented vendors offer products and services that reflect the creativity and diversity of our city."

Next to the Holiday Market is the warm, cozy, Cadillac Lodge, featuring snacks and boozy and non-boozy beverages.

The Lodge and Holiday Market hours:

  • Mon + Tues: Closed, except for 12/16, 12/17, 12/23, 12/24 and 12/31
  • Wed + Thurs: 11AM – 8PM
  • Fri + Sat: 11AM – 11PM
  • Sun: 11AM – 7PM
  • Holiday hours:

  • Thanksgiving Day: Optional hours of 8AM – 3PM
  • Christmas Eve: 11AM – 4PM
  • Christmas Day: Closed
  • New Year's Eve: 11AM – 10PM
  • New Year's Day: Closed
