KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - A Houston man was arrested after convincing a girl to come into his hotel room in Killeen and sexually assaulting her, an affidavit alleges

Kingsley Williams, 49, is charged with sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

On Aug. 3, 2023, officers were sent to a hotel in Killeen on reports of a sexual assault of a child.

When police arrived on scene, the affidavit states they spoke with the 16-year-old victim and her mother.

The victim's mother said the victim was in the hallway when she heard a door close, the affidavit states.

The victim's mother looked into the hallway and did not see the victim, and assumed she went into the stairwell, according to the affidavit.

Sometime later, the affidavit states the victim told her mother that she was sexually assaulted by a man who was staying in a room a few doors down.

The victim told officers that she accidentally went to the wrong door and the man, later identified as Williams, convinced her to come into the room, according to the affidavit.

While in the room, the affidavit alleges Williams took both of their clothes off and he sexually assaulted the victim.

The victim, according to the affidavit, said she was too scared to attempt to escape.

The victim's younger sister told police that Williams previously asked her to come into the room and asked about the victim, the affidavit states.

A CAC interview and SANE exam were performed where much of the same information was told to the interviewer and nurse, the affidavit states.

DNA swabbed during the SANE exam tested as "extremely more probable that the samples came from (the victim) and Williams than (the victim) and another individual," the affidavit states.

Authorities later interviewed Williams and his wife where Williams said the victim initiated everything, according to the affidavit.

Williams said he believed the victim was a prostitute or that she wanted food, and he was trying to help her, the affidavit alleges.

Williams also claimed the victim stole money from his wallet and wanted charges filed against her, the affidavit states.

On Oct. 11, 2024, Williams was booked into the Bell County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
