Houston police investigating deadly shooting involving 2 men on south side

HOUSTON — Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured in the Riverside Terrace area on the south side.

The Houston Police Department said appears to involve two scenes.

This all happened around 8:30 p.m. The first scene is on Tierwester Street just north of North MacGregor Way.

Police said officers responded to a shooting call and found a man dead in the back of an apartment complex. He was said to have mask and gun on him.

Police said they found a vehicle nearby, but it is not clear if it was involved in the shooting.

Then police the original shooting call came from MacGregor Way . That is where officers first went.

That is where they found another man shot in the arm and body. Police said that the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said they are trying to determine how the two are related. They believe the man shot in the arm and body was wounded at the apartment complex and jumped the fence, heading over to MacGregor Way.

Homicide detectives are trying to find surveillance video or any witnesses to what happened.
