Houstonian Pet Peeves: Can we talk about something other than the election? – Houston Public Media
On the first Monday of each month, we set aside time on this program to sweat the small stuff, in a conversation we call Houstonian Pet Peeves. We do it because you can't tackle life's big challenges when the little ones get in the way.
We're talking about those petty annoyances, frustrations, things that make your life here in Houston just a little less than it could be. As always, for this month's installment, Houston Matters host Craig Cohen was joined on air by champion complainers: Houston Chronicle op-ed editor Lisa Gray , and Craig Hlavaty , public relations specialist from the Scurfield Group.
Among the peeves in today's installment, we try to complain about non-election-related annoyances like baseball terminology, elevator etiquette, and the ever perennial issues with traffic and parking!
Other peeves brought up by listeners today included the challenges of ending Daylight Savings Time with a newborn baby, bad Halloween behavior from parents, and energy companies soliciting customers at HEB.
We welcome your Houstonian pet peeves, anytime, at – we may share them on air on our next installment on Monday, December 2, 2024.
