How To Register To Vote In Buffalo Grove
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — While many ballots for the Nov. 5 General Election have already been mailed out to voters in Illinois, swaths of residents still haven't registered.
In Illinois, the last day to register to vote online is Oct. 20 — 16 days before Election Day. You can register to vote here . If you're not sure if you're registered to vote, you can find out here .
If you want to register in person through Election Day, you can do so at driver's license facilities, your county clerk's office, city or village offices, township offices or public libraries.
In Buffalo Grove, register to vote in person at Village Hall, 50 Raupp Blvd. If you register to vote in person, you'll need two forms of ID, and at least one must show your current address.
If you need to register on Election Day, you can also visit the Cook County office in the George W. Dunne Cook County Office Building, 118 N. Clark St., Chicago; or the Lake County Office, 18 N County St., Waukegan; and polling locations in Buffalo Grove. On Nov. 5, residents will be able to access same-day voter registration and cast their ballots between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Voting by mail
Buffalo Grove registered voters who want to vote by mail can file an application, which can be found on the Illinois State Board of Elections website.
If you're making your request by mail, the Illinois Election Authority must receive it by Oct. 31. You can also request a mail-in ballot online on your county clerk's website .
Vote by mail ballots must be completed and postmarked by Election Day — Nov. 5.
