How to support the 12-year-old boy’s fight against cancer

The family is going to need our support, emotionally and financially. Dad, Chris, and Mom, Avis, are NOT the type to ask for help, but have finally agreed to allow me to start a Go Fund Me.

As many of you know, Avis is self employed as a wonderful dog groomer in Benton and will be with Gunner the entire time. Her income loss will definitely impact the family. Chris recently left a very lucrative job at KCS to be home with his family every night and serve his community in law enforcement . He recently graduated from the academy and is a Police Officer for Bossier City. He does not have any paid time off to be with Gunner and will have to stay home with the other 3 children. They will visit Gunner when he has days off.

Thompson shares the family has "already dealt with unfathomable circumstances, I would love to ease some of their financial stress."
