How to watch ACC Field Hockey Championship semifinals for FREE: time, channels

Three of the top seeds in the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Championship on Tuesday advanced to the semifinal round.

No. 1 seed North Carolina will play No. 5 seed Syracuse at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, followed by No. 2 seed Duke vs. No. 3 seed Boston College at 3 o'clock.

Both games will be played at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The final is scheduled for Friday at noon.

The ACC Network is airing all of the games, which can be live-streamed on ESPN+ , fubo TV (FREE trial), Sling TV (discount) and DirecTV Stream (FREE trial and discount).

North Carolina (16-0) romped to a 5-0 win over Cal (7-10) in its quarterfinal game, taking the lead on a penalty corner goal from Charly Bruder just 67 seconds into the game. Bruder's 22nd goal of the season came off a pair of assists from Cianna Riccardo and Kelly Smith. Bruder's second penalty corner goal of the game came with 9:54 left in the second quarter after assists from Pleun Lammers and Katie Dixon, giving the Tar Heels a 2-0 lead. Sanne Hak, Avery Donahue and redshirt freshman Hope Haynes also scored.

Syracuse (13-5) earned a spot opposite North Carolina (13-4) with a 1-0 win. Lana Hamilton buried a second-chance shot into the left side of the cage for her third goal of the season, and goalkeeper Louise Pert made that lead stand up.

  • Macy Szukics converted on a penalty stroke with 6:15 left in the third quarter for her first goal of the season as Duke (11-6) rolled to a 3-1 win over Wake Forest (7-11).

    Yani Zhong scored her ninth goal of the season as Boston College (13-5) broke a fourth-quarter tie and beat Stanford (8-9) in the final quarterfinal of the day. Zhong scored on its fourth penalty corner of the fourth quarter and 14th of the game. Martina Giacchino gave Boston College a 1-0 lead on a second-quarter penalty corner and Madelief Grandjean converted with just 2:12 off the clock in the third quarter to build the lead to 2-0. The Cardinal scored twice in a six-minute span to tie the game.
