How to watch Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers: NFL Week 12 Game Time and Channel

The Thanksgiving tradition begins with the Detroit Lions, now in first place of the NFC North, as they host division rival Green Bay. They meet the Packers at 12:30 p.m. Eastern on Thursday from Ford Field on Fox .

It is part of Week 12 of the NFL season, which has four Thursday games for the holiday with another one on Thursday before the Sunday slate of games to stream and watch.

Lions vs. Packers matchup preview

The Lions (8-2) hold a 2 1⁄2-game lead in the NFC North, ahead of the Minnesota Vikings and even further ahead of the third-place Packers (4-6), whom they already beat 34-20 earlier this season.

David Montgomery rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries the last time they met in late September. He scored the go-ahead touchdown Sunday in Detroit’s 31-26 comeback victory against the Chicago Bears. Detroit overcame four turnovers, including a season-high three interceptions from Jared Goff.

They are 8-2 for the first time since 1962 and are closing in on their first division championship since 1993.

The Packers continued their youth movement with a 23-20 win last week against the Los Angeles Chargers. Jordan Love threw for 322 yards on 27-of-40 passing and found Romeo Doubs on the go-ahead score with 2:33 left. Love’s 300-yard game is Green Bay’s first since Aaron Rodgers had one against the Bears in mid-December two years ago.

Injuries of note

The Lions put safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson on injured reserve Monday. He joins guard Halapoulivaati Vaitai, long snapper Scott Daly, cornerback Emmanuel Moseley, backup quarterbacks Nate Sudfeld and Hendon Hooker among notable Lions who are on that list.

Green Bay running back came out of the Chicago win questionable with a knee injury. Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell also left that game with a stinger, while cornerback Jaire Alexander missed it with a shoulder injury. Safety Darnell Savage and offensive tackles David Bakhtiari and Luke Tenuta are on injured reserve.

Players to watch

Montgomery rushed for 76 yards on 12 carries last week against his former team. He has 577 yards and eight TDs on the season to lead the Lions’ run game with Jahmyr Gibbs, who has 512 yards and five TDs.

Love leads the Packers with 2,331 yards and 16 TDs to 10 interceptions with a 59.7 completion rate.
