What to Know

Michigan bounced back from a loss to Memphis with a win over Stanford, 83-78, on Thursday night. Now the Wolverines will play their third game in as many nights in the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Texas Tech lost to Villanova before beating Northern Iowa, 72-70, on a floater off the backboard with 0.8 seconds left. The Red Raiders are 4-1 overall, having arrived in the Bahamas with three home wins over lesser competition.

Grant McCasland is in his first season as Texas Tech’s head coach. He spent the previous six years at North Texas. McCasland replaced Mark Adams, who was suspended late last season and then resigned. Adams had replaced Chris Beard, who was the coach when Texas Tech beat Michigan in the 2019 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

Keep in mind that Friday’s tip time and even TV network are subject to change since it is the third game of the day in the event. Memphis and Villanova will play for the championship.
