  • The Steelers' path to wins in the first two weeks of the season has not been pretty. While their defense has been exceptional, keeping the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos to a combined 16 points, their offense has hardly been competent. With Justin Fields at quarterback, the Steelers have only reached the endzone once, that coming in last Sunday's 13-6 victory over the Broncos. Pittsburgh has needed eight Chris Boswell field goals to put some breathing between them and their opponents, leaving many to wonder if the Steelers would be in better hands with Russell Wilson in the backfield.

The Chargers certainly do not have any quarterback controversy, as Justin Herbert has played well enough to get L.A. off to a much better start compared to last season. Though his three touchdown passes are nothing to boast about, JK Dobbins has been a great weapon on the ground, rushing for a couple of touchdowns over the team's wins over the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers. Like Pittsburgh, Los Angeles' defense has been the star, as they have only given up 13 points across the first two weeks of the season.

This will be the 36th all-time meeting between the Chargers and Steelers, with Pittsburgh leading the series 24-11, though the Chargers won the last matchup in 2021.

    MY PICK: Chargers win, 20-13
