Huntington To Host Veteran's Day Ceremony

A.Davis27 min ago

Huntington Supervisor Ed Smyth will be joined by town board members and local veterans from all wars to commemorate Veteran's Day in the Town of Huntington. The public is invited.

The Huntington Men's Chorus will perform the national anthem and sing "God Bless America" and other patriotic music. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony, which will take place amid the American flag display known as the "Field of Honor" organized by the Kiwanis Club of Huntington.

Event-goers should park in the lot and walk through or around the building to get to the front lawn of Huntington Town Hall.

For the 15th consecutive year, the Kiwanis Club of Huntington is sponsoring the "Field of Honor" American flag display at Huntington Town Hall. American flags are mounted on 8-foot poles surrounding Veterans Plaza on the front lawn of Huntington Town Hall. Each 3 foot-by-5 foot flag has a custom-printed gold ribbon personalized and dedicated to a veteran honoree.
