'I shook her hand, I just knew': John Krasinski reveals it was love at first sight with Emily Blunt

When you know, you know, and John Krasinski just knew! The People's 2024 Sexiest Man Alive has revealed he fell in love with Emily Blunt at first sight. Recalling the fond memories of his first meeting with his wife, the actor said he felt an immediate connection. With just a simple handshake, he had a feeling he had found his soulmate.

In a conversation with People, the Quiet Place actor reminisced about his first meeting with Emily Blunt whom he married in 2010. Krasinski said he was sure about The Devil Wears Prada star right from the moment he first shook her hand. "I don't know what happened, but I remember someone introduced us, and it was across a room in a restaurant, and I walked over to her and as soon as I shook her hand, I just knew," he said.

After John was named Sexiest Man Alive, Emily Blunt was naturally "very" excited. "There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her," John said. She even suggested using his cover photo as wallpaper in their house.

"Do we have that on camera? Because that's like a binding contract, I think,"star responded to Emily's suggestion. "My children will love that. It won't be weird at all," he added.

Praising the Oppenheimer actress, he added, "It's that beautiful thing where when you're married to someone, you're constantly learning and changing and evolving. And I'm so lucky to go through all that with her," he said of the life he has built with Blunt.
